This
group sponsors meetings, classes, and rituals that speak to those whose
spirituality is primarily earth centered.
Problem
Solvers
Except for
holidays, meets at 10:00 a.m. on
Mondays.
The
Problem Solvers are an irreverent bunch of philosophers, male and female; who
argue amongst themselves about politics, religion, and of the other absurdities
of life. Besides chewing the fat, they take turns bringing goodies and they
normally stay until the coffee is gone (at least the leaded pot).
Singular
UU’s
First
Sunday of each month at 12:45 p.m.
This
group of singles meets each month for fellowship and conversation here at the
church.
UU
Women’s Group
The
monthly meeting of this group is the second Sunday at 12:45 p.m.A light lunch is provided. This group
is a chapter of the UU Women’s Federation and invites all the women of the
Church to participate in its activities.
Humanist
Focus Group
Meets 3rd Sunday at 12:45 pm at the UU church;
Meets first Saturday at 8:15 a.m. for breakfast at Old Country Buffet, Division & Rowan
Join fellow Humanist thinkers for breakfast and discussion following a
presentation.
Conversations
with the Bible
First and
third Wednesday s of each month at 7 p.m.
This
on-going group meets twice monthly to explore the meaning of the bible from a
liberal prospective. The class format it to listen to an instructional DVD for
the first portion of the class and then to have a facilitated discussion.
Newcomers are welcome to come and check out the class.
Path to Membership Class
If you are thinking about joining the church or are ready to
take the plunge please attend this two session class. The Membership Team
will facilitate an interactive program that will provide you with the tools
that you need to navigate your membership path. The class is offered each fall and spring; consult our newsletter for the next dates.
