The UUCS
Community Marketplace is our annual opportunity to share the things we are
passionate about with our fellow UU’s as we donate and bid on items that range
from picnics, days at the lake, dinner parties, and sing-a-longs to lessons and
how-to’s, home cookin’ and more! See below for more information about how the Community Marketplace works.Check out all the offerings in our catalog (click here) and don't forget to BID!ONLY ONE MORE WEEK LEFT! Bidding ends on Nov 13

How the Marketplace Works
- Beginning in September, you will be encouraged to donate an event or
service or adventure that you enjoy and want to share. Or two, or more! See the
Suggested Donations List for ideas, and remember you can team up with one or
more friends…
- Donation Forms are available by clicking the link or at the
Marketplace Table in the Friendship Hall between and after our Sunday
services. If you wish to donate the same
item as last year, just give us the updated information - we want to make it
easy!
- All the Marketplace items are activities (dinners, parties, services,
etc.) not “things.”
- Each donation is detailed on a separate Bid Sheet, which are posted on
the walls of the Friendship Hall from Friday October 21 through Sunday November
13.
- You can get your bid number at the Friday Preview Party on Oct 21, or
between and after Sunday services from Oct 23 through Nov 13, but get yours
early, as popular items sell out very quickly.
- Using your bid number, place your bid amounts on items you wish to
purchase. Some items are a fixed price
for a limited number of people - a dinner with places for 6 guests, for
example. Some items go to the highest
bidder - such as use of a vacation home for a week.
- The Marketplace closes at noon on November 13 with a lunch and raffle
after church. No need to be present to
win, you will receive an invoice and information on who purchased the items you
donated. You can pay by mail, or drop a
check in the basket at church, marking it "Community Marketplace."
All Marketplace proceeds add to our church operating funds.
